Wearing Women's Knickers
At Nashbar the Women's knickers are cheaper than the men's. Do you think there would be any problems for a man wearing women's knickers (i.e. long bike shorts)?

Right. I'm wondering if they wouldn't fit well, or if the chamois would be different, but I figure they're pretty stretchy.

It seemed to me the few Woman Specific Bibs I have seen have a different Chamois than the men’s Bibs did. Different protection needs I think.

Part of the problem could be what you're going to be doing while wearing them. As long as you're not going to be doing anything like the two guys in drag that got arrested and were allowed to change clothes before going to jail you should be as OK in womens knickers as you would be in mens.

Probably not. My wife and I occasionally get our shorts mixed up and hers are definitely cut and shaped different. It's sort of like the feeling that you get when you put a t-shirt on backwards; you could wear it that way but it feels weird. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was trying to find a perfect size/fit etc. and thought ... why not? well, it turns out the padding is a bit different. it is wider up front. you may find it looks somewhat feminine, meaning creased for your taste. the extra padding wasn't particulary annoying but I don't know how it would feel while riding. I suspect you would be more comfortable with mens' shorts for anatomical reasons

Most women's pants are cut for a larger derrierre in relation to waist size as well as having a different shaped pad so the fit might be a bit wierd. After all women do have different anatomy than men in the general sitting area. Viva la difference!!!.

Or you can just wear your regular shorts. Then put some "Stay Free" women pads to act as chamois. They absorb well and are quite comfortable.... so I was told. I mean after all billions of women use them every month for daily activities.
