Without more info my guess is you need a freewheel or cassette tool. Pictures do help.. Roger

Hello. are you trying to remove a cassette or the indivual cags from a freewheel?
to remove a cassette:

1 insert lockring tool into lockring and loosely reinsert skewer to hold in place.

2 apply the whip so you would be turning it clockwise (right)

3 apply wrench to lockring tool and turn counterclockwise to loosen

there were some early (late '80s vintage) cassette hubs that the last cogs screwed on to lock it inbto place. these are very obvious to identify from the lack of a lockring.

but pics are always good

try a verb, they do wonders

if that doesn't work, post a pic of the cogs, that should be enough

I hate to say this, but ... if you look at the OPs other posts ... he's either a troll or an absolute idiot (I don't mean that as a comment on his/her pure intellect. I just think there's not an iota of sincerity in his/her posts).

I wouldn't waste my time, either.

Operator: as always: I think you were right
