Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good luck! My friend does the running version of that called Badwater. Of course they do it in August in Death Valley :-) They are really sick.

It's that time of year already?

Jeez, it seems like just yesterday you were doing it last year.

Good luck, I look forward to another awesome report.

I hope to someday do that event as well. The combination of the two events is called the Death Valley Cup. I believe they run it July actually.

This race is keeping me awake way more than it should- I wake up at 4:00am either thinking about all the logistics that need to be taken care of before we leave, or visualizing the course. We (2X Team Capybara) are switching stages this year, so visualizing Townes Pass is tough because last time I slept during most of it. I think it goes up a lot. Last year both of us had digestive issues during the second half- we're hoping for a better run this time around. We're in better shape anyway.

Can't wait to get out there! Hope you have a great ride, you solo nutter!

Say "hello" to my pal Vic on Team Skink. He'll be riding as a one-man team as well.

Good luck, and have fun.

With all due respect, you 508 guys are nuttier than squirel turds. I do look forward to the report however, as last years was a really good read.

Good luck!

Good luck! You (and everyone else who rides the fc508) are my hero. One day I wish to be able to ride such a tough event.

Ahh sleep -- the beauty of fixed relay racing on ultras.

Nutrition-- What did you learn and what will you do differently this time?

Hi George,

My teammates Greg and Dan are a two-man, fixed team -- Missing Lynx. Wave to them when you go past.

Good luck, are you riding fixed again this year or a geared bike?

Looking through the rider list, someone I know is racing doing Furance Creek also
