Ceramic Mavic OPs
I've had a set of Ceramic Mavic open pros that I used on my road bike for a few years. I recently down graded them to my cross bike. They have changed my cross bike. No matter what the conditions, my brakes work, and work great. I did a local MTB trail yesterday, and due to a little rain, I was going through big puddles, and my brakes still had tons of bite.
If anyone is looking at getting new cross wheels, pick up some ceramic Mavic open pros for clinchers or Ceramics Reflex for Tubulars.

How is the wear on them compared to a standard OP? I get about 18 months of use before I need replace mine, and have been thinking of switching to a different rim that wears better.
Thanks.

I've been using ceramic open pros on my cross bike for the last year. Love em! I imagine I'll get 2-3 times the regular lifespan out of these rims based off how they look after a year of daily riding and commuting.

I'm having a custom set of Stand ZTR 355 29r rims done by Ligero Wheels with their proprietary ceramic coating process... I train on Ceramic OPs on the road, and going tubeless ceramic for cross.
