Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Weight room -- anything metal. Running -- anything around 160 bpm or I start to stumble. On the bike -- podcasts, usually.
There's a bunch of stuff bouncing around in my head anyway, so if I'm not listening to a source of music, it doesn't matter much.

I have been giving this question some more thought and it occurs to me that Stockhausen composed some great workout music but probably the all time best tune for working out, whether inside or out, is John Cage's piece entitled 4'33". Here is an excellent performance of it:

I don't know about you guys but I already started my Christmas playlist.
Most of the music is slow but I don't pedal to the beat anyways. I play music for the endorphin release and that should help boost performance.

Nothing or I'm watching TV.
I listen to metal at work only to block out all other noises. I also have every "Weird Al" cd, that I usually listen to in the car.

I have the luxury of rocking out with my own band for hours every week. Playing the drums is a good workout. On the bike or lifting weights I do not listen to music.

The music @ https://tsururadio.com of course. I don't need "beats" to pedal to or fast music to hammer to, I just need music I enjoy.

You shouldn't be listening to music while riding on the road. It's dangerous and you miss all of what mother nature has to offer. I'm out there to enjoy the outdoors. Not mute it with man-made sounds. See, I'm a hippie and I hug trees and smoke weird stuff and only eat nuts and berries like a little woodland creature. My jerseys and shorts are made of hemp and have peace symbols all over them.

Nothing but wind noise on the bike when outdoors. I recently discovered Pandora and now have a "The Black Crowes" station on my Palm Pre. This is great for the gym and the indoor trainer.

Had a recent departure from my usual metal/rock playlists and have been digging some Cut Chemist and the like.
