New York vs Philly

Hey Regionals...

Arm yourselves for battle, this one is strictly North East. So let this be the friend dividing, hate mongering, thread of threads where gravity weakens and we toss it about like children in a sand pit.

Too bad it isn't riding season for most of us. This would make a great "Bikeway Series."

Of course I'm rooting for the Bombers, but having landed for a stopover at the airport in Philly just as they won the series last year, I kind of feel a sort of brotherhood with the security guys, the girls at the gate, and the custodians at that airport. It was a great, impromptu late night celebration in the terminal, and the folks of Philadelphia were very cordial and sincerely gushy to have won their first Series in almost thirty years.

I wish both teams good luck. In the end, it's just baseball.

You may be right, SourDiesel. But it's more likely that we'll give one up tonight and bring it home to da Bronx for da big win.

here's to hoping for a repeat of 2004 alcs

although really, i don't even care that much about baseball. i'd much rather see the eagles win one superbowl than the phillies win five world series titles

logic tells me we need to do to Chase what everyone else does to AROD and give him the free respect pass, especially with Ryan Howard slumping as he is. I really wonder what is going through Cole Hamels mind now as well.

Game 6 - Petite vs Pedro
Start up the Who's Yo Daddy chants, it'll be great to beat Pedro in our new stadium for the WS.

Come on yanks!

Ugh, honestly, I'm just sick of baseball's getting in the way of things on TV I might actually want to watch. Flame-shields are on, but I wish they'd move the whole damned event to ESPN or some such...

I find I don't care a whole lot about the series this year, either. However, watching the games in Philly made me want to hop on Amtrak next spring and get down there to ride the Schuylkill again.
