Do you have a couch?

Do you find that the time you spend on it justifies the high initial monetary outlay? Do you have a recreational level couch or a high performance model?

Leather. I don't get to spend time on it. The kids seem to like it when they're watching The Penguins of Madagascar or Clone Wars.

Leather. Dog, cat, and kid proof so far.

+1 to the Penguins. Many a fight over Noggin vs. Disney has been fought on the couch.

Do not wait if your intention is to get a couch. Time lost not sitting on the couch is never recovered. Besides, your first couch could be the wrong fit and you have to burn it. More time finding another couch. I could come up with all kinds of reasons why you should not wait to get a couch.

You can always ditch the couch later and sit on the cat.

I got a very high-end leather couch with a carbon fiber frame. Expensive, but worth it. The leather was pretty stiff so I chopped it and soaked the whole thing in a vat of couch oil to soften it up. Very comfortable now for up to 8 hours at a stretch. Kind of slippery though, so I have to concentrate or I tend to fall off. Putting pillows around the front and sides of the couch right at first seemed to help. Others have commented that the reach to the armrests can be uncomfortable, but I have long arms and I'm all torso, so it's not a problem. Some folks rave about the accessory pillows, but they seem like too much bling for me.

I've only got about 100 hours on the thing, so I'll report back after the Series.

Our couch is a stock frame with custom leather finish. I've been known to really push it hard on that think and spend an entire night on the couch. Try that with your CouchDirect.com couches.

yep, couch.

when we bought it I made sure to stretch out full-length to test its nappability factor (NF) TM.

but of course now the kids have taken over and so I'm relegated to the "love seat" which is a fraudulent claim on the manufacturer's part since I have never got any nookie on it.

Is it bad that I know this because I have seen it? And I do not have kids?

Bad is subjective. Would it help if I told you that I watch it on DVR after the kids are in bed because I'm too busy when they're watching it? It's a very well written show. It's like Tiny Toons Adventures or Animaniacs. Lots of jokes for the adults.

You remember the golf cart with the New Jersey "Bon Jovi" license plate?

Only old men need full suspension couches. Real men still sit on hardtail couches.

My couch is a hide-a-bed designed for people that I don't want to stay overnight more than once.

The really nice Simmons hide-a-bed couch that we own is on loan to my sister-in-law. That thing is over 50 years old and it is actually NICE to sleep on.
