Hi to you all.
I found this forum a few days ago by chance looking for information about an SR I bought in US while working in San Diego in 1979/80. I did'nt know much about bikes although I have had one from a todler mostle put together from parts found at the rubbish dump. The SR was the first new bike and it was the colour that grabbed me, I still have it and it is almost like new. I now ride a Raleigh mountain bike at a very leisurely pace with my wife and daughter on cycle tracks, mostly converted railway tracks that meander its way around small villiges and pubs. I am not in your class when it comes to cycling chaps. Bye for now.

Welcome to BF.
All bike riding is fun.
Ride safe and post a pic of your bikes sometime.

I cycled on those reworked rail lines a few years ago when visiting in-laws near Barnstaple. I rode about 20 km up the valley from Bideford - very nice. We had Sunday lunch at Westward **!.
