what size

what frame size should I use if I measure 5.6 feet
i want a hardtail

The frame size that fits. It's not an exact science, at least for MTB's.

Fit has a lot to do with height, torso length, leg length, what feels best.

If you're able to go to bike shop, get them to help fit you. And, the bike that they pick to 'fit' you may/may not be the one that 'feels' right.

Sight unseen, in a vacuum, over the internet: at 5.6 ft. a 15" or 16" frame might 'fit'.

thanks but do not think is a bit small for xc
II will buy a frame from eBay a giant atx and size are different than normal
