Info on the IRO hubs(new windowless hubs)
Has anyone purchased any of their new hubs yet? I just wanted to know if there are any problems with them.

the solid ones that look like gran compes?
i just got some shipped to me the other day. machining is nice, bearings feel stiff like a typical new cartridge bearing. maybe nicer than a normal formula, but i don't know by how much.
i held a gran compe at a shop a couple weeks ago. felt comparable to that i guess, but all sealed cartridge hubs are basically equal. i'd say the iro hubs are a good deal, just gotta find a way to take that comic script off haha

yeah i've used them and they are fine. i agree the script is annoying (and not a decal, don't know how to get it off) but they are totally good for the money, plus they come in pretty colors.
here is a nice non-production shot of mine before being built up... all the specks are just dust so ignore them

i heard it's just paint so acetone/nail polish remover will take it off.
i don't mind the one in the center, but i very much dislike the one on the flange.

Thanks for the reply and info guys. I can't decide between the miche Xpress wheelset for $270.00 or the custom IRO wheelset for the same price. Any opinions ?
