I guess I need a new gym. I hope the two years I spent breathing auto exhaust didn't do any major damage.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

I was confused that you mentioned "auto exhaust" and the picture had two trucks backed up to the front doors. I thought, "why don't they just turnoff the ignition on those trucks?"
Sorry for your loss.

Also, it was ideally located within a mile of the two major trails in the Philadelphia area. So after a ride I might get my lifting in, shower, and ride or drive home.

In my freshman college dorm a truck once pulled into the back alley and parked, idling, with its exhaust pipe pointed directly into the open window to my room. I came into the room from class to a room so full of diesel fumes I couldn't see the opposite wall 8' away. That was fun.

I think I found a new place:
https://rascalsfitness.com/philosophy.html
It's a lot closer - half as far away as the old gym. However, it's all climbing to get there. :-(

You can either spin up the hill for cardio, or stand and mash for the stairmaster effect.

A gym that sells Chocolate Chip cookies?! At first I thought it sounded wonderful, until I realized how little resistance I have to chocolate chips!
RUN NEIL! It's not a gym, it's the gates to the inferno!
Just kidding. Really makes me wish I lived nearby!

Well, the last two gyms I joined featured guys on 'roids. I'll take chocolate chips over 'the juice' any day.

Well, it is a win aside from the climbing. No riding through Phoenixville traffic, for one. And I've not ridden in that area before. Lots of little roads to explore.

Hey were not all on roids, its just flaxseed oil and vitamin B shots. Definetly go to gym where you feel comfortable. Nothing like feeling self-concious wearing a helmet during spinning class.

Well, I did my first full workout at the new gym today. 2 miles on the exercise bikes - just enough to discover that I fit very badly on them - some walking, and my lifting routine. My joints were creaking from the cold and snow outside, but I managed all my exercises. Frankly, I haven't been this excited since I joined a gym back in 2006 and decided to lose weight so I could learn to ride a bike.
If the snow clears in the next day or so I'll tackle the ride to the gym and back.

I've used flaxseed products before. I found little benefit, unfortunately.

* Possibly the most pretentious, self-important comment I've ever posted to Bike Forums.

I was joking The Historian. I didn't know you had a picture of yourself on a bike. Without emoticons its difficult to convey the context in which I was referring. Also, that flaxseed oil and vitamin B shot was in reference to Barry Bonds allegations of non steroid use.
