Joe Blow Pro help
My Joe Blow Pro stopped working and I can't find out what the problem is. I was in mid pump (pushing down) and it wouldn't go any further.
I took apart the top section and the smarthead but there are no blockages. The plunger is in perfect condition and there is no problem there. It feels like a blockage around the base but I can't get that open. I can remove the large hex nut but it seems to need a special tool to get the rest off.
Anyone got any ideas.
I'm not in a position to send it back as I'm in the middle of the Pacific and shipping both ways will cost more than buying new, which I did. But I'd like to get it working again or just find out what the problem is so I can fix it next time.

Are you saying that you were pumping up a bicycle tire when the plunger refused to go farther? Or was the pump not connected to a bike?
If it was connected to a presta type valve then the problem is that the presta valve on the bike did not open. This is a common problem and the solution is to "burp" the valve before attaching the pump.

You've checked the hose yeh? If you definitely think its from the internals then the only thing you can do is send it off or get a replacement, at work we've gone through about 3 of these pumps in 6 months. There not the greatest but to be fair we use them 20 times a day haha.

Hmm, try sending back to blackburn then.. Or the distributors.. can't remember who distributes blackburn now.. Anyway at the moment were using the specialized air tool pump, works really well, one head on it that fits schraeder and presta valve, has a little system in it. Going strong after 4 months ha!
