races in NC

Hey all! I'm looking to figure out when the big races are in NC for 2010. I tried USA Cycling and Carolina Cycling Association, as well as a google search, but nothing came up. I'm trying to set up my training macro-cycles but can't w/o knowing the dates of my major races. Anyone know of a race calendar that I could check out?

Thanks,

Erik

Kind of round-about, but you need to pull up the races in 2009 that you 'would' have raced, find out who was the promoting club, and look at that club's website. They may already show a preliminary 2010 calendar. Or, if it looks like it's been an annual event, you can be pretty sure they'll at least plan on having it again in 2010. The races are not going to show up on USACyling until they feel like registering the event (read: fork out the first $), so that usually doesn't happen a year in advance.

https://centralcarolinaracing.com/home/ is one club site I went to. It looks like you had lots of races to choose from in '09. They did not show a 2010 preliim yet. You really should consider joining a club. They'll provide you with plenty of opportunities.

Thanks, yeah I went on Sadlebred.com and used last year's calendar; I figured the races would fall on the same day of the weekend this year. Any tips on which races are the big point races in NC every summer? I work retail and have to be judicious in which races I attend. Thanks again!
