Newbie Leg Warmer Question
I did a search and could not come up with the answer.
I recently purchased Specialized arm and leg warmers. I cannot figure out if the zipper on the leg warmer should go on the inside of my leg (towards the bike), or the outside, or does it matter?
Thanks.

The zippers are usually worn on the outside (away from the crankset).
Also, as a general fyi, the leg warmers should be worn underneath the shorts. I usually put on the leg warmers first, then slide the shorts up over them. That seems to help keep the leg warmers from creeping down.
Edit: My comment above was about leg warmers in general; I haven't seen the Specialized ones specifically. If they do actually have some kind of wind-blocking material, that part should go toward the front. I would still put them on whichever leg allowed the zipper to be toward the outside.
When I had Googled images for "Specialized leg warmers", none of the images actually showed people wearing them. They were all forms like the one below.

if u got the same ones i did when i put them on the zippers end up towards the bike, you should have the "cotton-ish" material in the front to block the wind chill, then the spandex/lycra on the back to provide the stretch. that's what the sales guy told me lol i didn't know much either

They have a "L" and "R" inside so you know which leg they go on. Once you get that sorted out, the words (logo, material, size) on the inside as well as the thinner material go to the back, and red tab & zipper at the bottom go to the outside. The post above that says they go to the bike must have them on the wrong leg.

That would not work, you would be wearing them sideways.

More importantly, zipper away from the bike so it doesn't scratch the purty paint job!

I have some cheap performance leg warmers. They are not directional or have a left or a right. I always put the zipper on the inside even if its wrong.
I think it depends on the leg warmer.
Giardana Zipper in back
Assos Zipper in back
Canari Zipper on outside
Gore Zipper on outside
Northwave Zipper on inside

It doesn't really matter how your performance leg warmers are since the question was specifically about Specialized warmers. There is no personal preference involved, there is a right and a wrong way. It helps to actually read the question.

I apologize. I didn't realize that Specialized had right/left specifics.

More importantly they are front-to-back specific. They are thicker and lined in the front, and much thinner in the back, with huge seams running down the sides. If you wore them with the zipper in the back they would not fit right. You could swap the legs and put the zipper on the inside, I guess that wouldn't be too bad.

Thanks for the reply's. I knew they had a R & L tag, but had never looked close enough to see that the cotton material does not go all the way around the leg, like the arm warmers do. Makes total sense now that you pointed that out. thanks.
BTW if anyone reading this thread, and is thinking about getting warmers, and wondering if they are worth it. Do it! They are fabulous.
