My new LHT - a big thanks to all the guys who helped me
in making this decision. Got the bike shipped from Singapore around 9th Dec and have just completed 1280 km.
Did my first ever short tour [260km - 3 days] and had a blast. Like Doug said - this could get addicting. Planning another already but dunno when I can take off from work next.
If you guys remember I had decided on a Volpe, but the Bianchi dealer in India let me down. I was a bit hesitant about the bar end shifters of the LHT but I love them, and they were easy to get used to in a few minutes on the bike.
Only downside is I like my regular road bike less now
Pics are from a mobile so pretty crappy [Thats Laphroig in my seat tube water bottle
]

Thanks guys.
Fenders are the SKS 55mm MTB fenders.

Very nice. Post some touring photos from India. It's always nice to see biking in different parts of the world.

Hehe - someone asked whether I was swigging on the ride. Actually I finished each days ride by 1 pm, right in time for beer and lunch and the whiskey was for the evenings [wifey and me].
Did a 103, 60, and 103 km on the three day tour. Hopefully a 5 day tour next.

Garmin edge 305? I love my Garmin Edge 305. I haven't tried touring with it though. I think I have the charging issue figured out now so I may use it in the future.

I have a 305 and find that its charge holds for an 8-10 hour day and then its over. Pray tell, what "charging issue" have you figured out??

how are the trails outside of Singapore and how about campin? can you pull of the side of the road and pitch a tent if in desperate need or are there good sites to choose from? the pics look great
