Thursday ride, climbing and 2 videos

Thurs 01/28.... 26 miles with about 3300 ft. Climbed GMR to the shack where I met up with a guy form the Covina Cycling Club. I didn't catch his name, but we did descend together to the bottom. Then I turned around and climbed halfway backup to the shack to work off some of these tamales...Figured if I ran into Hillbasher somewhere along the ride or if he caught up to me, I'd go all the way back up to the shack again. Sure glad he didn't.

This was my "work off some of this holiday fat" ride!

Second descent

Covina Dude, I guess I should have asked his name! Nice dude though!

Beanz - you inspire me every time I see your pics and vids, even if you ARE a machine! I aspire to be able some day to climb like that. Heck, there's nothing like that climb anywhere close to me. I did climb a majestic 40 feet on my commute yesterday though! It WAS 24*, guess that counts for something!
Keep 'em coming Sir!

Thanks! Always happy to hear somone likes the pics and vids. Not a machine, every clyde can climb. It's just a matter of getting out and doing it! OR having a place to do it in your case. Ask Hillbasher, the climbing IS the fun part!

You should, it's a great ride. Many variations too. Sometimes we do 70 miles with 6500ft, 40 miles with 5000ft, or 40 miles with 3500ft depending on the mood. I'm sure I could get a whole gang or riders to ride with you! Usually first times have a couple riders hang with you. If you are slow, ME! If you are a speed demon, we got some of those too!

Hopefully I can swing down your way this summer and we can go riding. Gina is gorgeous and in my opinion, a classic beauty. I really enjoy your videos and pics from your rides. You guys have some really great bike paths and mountainous climbs. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy hearing your adventures.

Cheers!

You really should join us if even for one ride. No matter what some rides think, we aint hammerheads. We're very safe consistent riders just out for a ride.

Thanks for the Gina comments. Classic beauty yes! No makeup, just attractive IMO. She's always asking me why I don't chase wimmins in miniskirts and highheels! Some things are more sexy than fancy dress. Pretty sure that's why she likes me!

Yup, nice trails but the mtns are the best if you just go for the ride! Hillbasher and I have some good rides just getting out there! Well. when he's not making fun of my "flat ride" training!

Can't pass up an opportunity to post the Scatterini. I like it.. actually quite a bit more than the 4.7 I rented.

Nice bike!...I have a couple buds with $1500 CF Scats ( I see yours is high end with DA). One has a 4k Lemond (ti and CF) plus an 8K Time CF sweetly shaped tubing. Says the Scat is a better ride than the other two!....Couple other guys on alum Scats that can drop just about anybody at will, on any bike. Proves a good bike is a good bike, expensive name is just icing on the cake.

Thanks! it was a 105 level one (a bit under $1300 on sale) that I've eBayed / Nashbared into a DA one. Prolly have around $2k in it, but I would rather not keep track.
