Just saying hi
Hey all. I'm just getting back in the saddle after a while and want to build up to my first century ride. I'm from Albuquerque NM where there are a lot of trails and great places to ride so I'm hoping to see some progress really quickly. Any tips for someone getting back on after an absence?

Welcome Allen to Bike Forums.
Ride as much as you can.
Don't be concerned about speed until you get 1,000 miles on your legs.
Rest when you need a day off.
Rode 27 centuries last year.

Hello
I'm adding this group to my other watched groups on Bike Journal and BentriderOnline.
I've got a recumbent I enjoy a lot, I started commuting to work a year and a half ago and now am at the point where I have to find a reason to NOT ride to work...or to various errands near my home. I participate in the local Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board, Bike to Work Week and other volunteer activities. I am looking forward to participating in a Bicycle Train with our local school district when the weather permits. I also am watching for a pet trailer so I can take my dogs out with me from time to time and give me another reason to ride.
