Armstrong voor Ronde!

Maybe this means Versus will add Flanders to the schedule.

Ja!

Tour of Flanders: Sunday, April 4, 5-7p ETThe Tour of Flanders (Dutch: Ronde van Vlaanderen) is a road cycling race held in Flanders, Belgium. It is held every spring, exactly one week before Paris-Roubaix, and it used to be part of the UCI World Cup. It is now part of the UCI ProTour and is regarded as one of the 'Monuments' of the European professional cycling calendar. This year Stijn Devolder will try to defend his race title, but Heinrich Haussler is hot this year, even with a recent fall in the Volta ao Algarve.

I'm stoked for this; I'll be watching from the Eikenberg, Koppenberg and Paterberg. I'd love to try to get down to Geraardsbergen to watch at the Muur, but that would be a real chore, considering it's about 30 miles away from the Paterberg if I take main roads.

^Will you do the cyclotourism on Saturday?
Mad at myself for forgetting: I made other plans for that day.
I had wanted to do one of the distances this year.

CrimsonKarter21, I remember taking the train from Ghent to (I believe) Oudenaard and walked out of town to (I think) Koppenberg. Is my recollection possibly correct? I know I was at the top of a small hill looking down a cobble stone path. LA and another rider led up the hill.

I was hoping it was an April Fools day gag because I read about this yesterday but it appears that Heinrich Haussler has had to pull out due to a knee injury and won't be riding in this years ToF. I feel really bad for him because I have heard him say that this was the one race he wanted to win this year. I was going to be rooting for him but I guess this is part of the sport.

Nope, I didn't do it. It started too early and I wanted to race instead. I've ridden those roads a hundred times.

That was probably it, it must have been a long walk though!

Yeah, that's the spot, I was up the hill a bit more next to some farm shed. And yes, it was a good long walk.
