Older Trek 4300 Disc Brake Adaptor

I have an older Trek 4300 that I'd like to install disc brakes on. The standard spacing for the rear brake mounting location is 51mm. Unfortunately, on this older Trek the frame spacing is ~45mm. So, the Hayes adaptor for the HFX 9 HD's will not fit on the frame. I asked one person and they just thought the ~45mm was an odd size. The bike is about 7 years old.

Any trek dealer can get that for far less than the eBay price. I get them for $14. If you need to specify an application, they're used on the 2010 Trek PDX.

Thanks for all the help. I stopped by the Trek dealer, he will order the part. He called Trek while I was there. They seemed to be aware this was a common issue w/ vintage 2000 through ~2005 Treks.
