Looks like a good tire...One thing to avoid in a "street" tire is tiny little cuts or "sipes" as they call 'em . These will pick up every little bit of glass and crud and eventually pound it through to your tube.
I have been putting the Continental "Town & Country" tire on all our police bikes for years now. They wear well and seem flat-resistant.
Here's a pic:

You are not limited to 26x1.4 tires. Depending on the exact rim size, anything from about 26x1.25 through 26x2.0+ should work.
Quite a few 26x1.5 tires to choose from. I've used 26x1.5" Primo Comets on a couple of recumbents and am considering putting them on our 26"-wheeled tandem. They come with or without a Kevlar belt.

Sipes aren't a problem, per se. I've used siped tires and never had a flat caused by stuff in a sipe. I'll follow that with two "Of courses"
1. Road tires with sipes are pretty much slicks. Slicks usually have thinner rubber and are more prone to flats in general.
2. The less tread on the tire, the less traction it will have in grass or loose dirt.

Yes they are good. I have been using them on my road bike and am getting ready to put some on my Littlejohn and I build the wheel for it.
