Saddle selection: Track vs Road

It took me two years and at least a dozen models to find the perfect saddle for my ride bike. I was having trouble with the usual suspects, saddle sores and numbness, but found the solution in the Specialized Romin. I'm just getting into track racing and am wondering if I should use the same saddle, or go with something else considering the different bike fit, positioning and length of ride time. Any suggestions?

I would think that if the Specialized Romin is working for you on your road bike it work equally well on a track bike. I run the same saddle on my track & road bike and my butt is happy.

I use a Specialized Toupe on my road and track bikes. You will spend more time riding on the "rivet" (nose) on the track bike than your road bike.

There is no difference. If anything, you will have less saddle issues in general as most races only last between 5-15 minutes or so.

Stick with what you know works...until you start using aerobars in time trials. Then you have to start all over again
