Centennial Trail - Arlinhgton: How are they doing on the extension?

Anyone been out to see how the construction is going on the ? 9 ? mile extension of the Centennial Trail from Arlington northward to the Skagit County line?

I have hopes of riding it when I return for the summer. Foolish hopes?

The southern four miles is due to be done at the end of this year. The northern four miles won't be complete until 2011. Apparently there are some coordination/permit issues with the Corps of Engineers on the northern section. You probably won't be riding it this summer.

@@@

Have to take a look at what they have done. I think the COE permit issue is about the bridge over some creek.

Be nice if they would close the Anmar Gap so you could ride from Snohomish to Skagit County Line. Arlington should lobby to get the Whitehorse Trail to Darrington happening. That would put them in the center of three trails. Add latte stands and attract riders.
