yes the frame was 40 bucks! lol... i even got another old philips frame thrown in for free! but just because it was cheap dosn't necessarily make it a turd...and i guess if it is a turd, then its my turd and i love my sh1!t
fyi i everything on the frame is used or parts i had around or traded friends/brothers/dad for, so i havn't spent that much money polishing said turd. the wheelset though was the priciest at 160ish shipping included, but having dura ace hubs and ultegra cassete and mavic open pro front and cxp30 back, i thought it was a great deal especially since the cheapest new wheelset i found was weinmann dp18s and i think formula or origin8 hubs for not much less. its not like i cant swap out the frame down the line if i find something nicer.
and yes adriano i am 6'3 with extremely long wingspan, so the easier to find 120mm alter stem works out for me.

BUT hanging dura-ace and fancy threadless stems, etc. on it just seems wrong. Why not wait for a nice frame to put your nice parts on? It would be much better suited for beater/townie bike duty. Put a basket and some northroad bars on it and you have yourself a great bike that you never have to worry about.

I like the centurion, its a good looking frame, though its cheap. People put sugino 75/thomson posts/dura ace hubs on kilo tt's all the time, same story here. Though nashbar's house frames are quite decent for the price..

i like the centurion too. there is nothing wrong with throwing cheap used parts together with your "parts bin" no manner what the quality level. ive built several bikes on old cheap/free steel frames until a suitable replacement was found. i now have a soft spot for one of the cheap frames and it may end up hanging on my wall.

the cost of a new crankset/bb wouldnt offset the margin of performance gain id get back. but then again this is bgssfg

we are off on two different sides of the available crank length spectrum and neither is pretty. keep an eye out for 210mm cranks while i wait for 160s.

after you sell out for the dough, you need custom frame with 30 or 40mm bottom bracket drop to work those custom cranks.

Well, turd is the wrong word really. It's not a terrible frame—it's solid and will last forever if you let it. Well-made.
BUT hanging dura-ace and fancy threadless stems, etc. on it just seems wrong. Why not wait for a nice frame to put your nice parts on? It would be much better suited for beater/townie bike duty. Put a basket and some northroad bars on it and you have yourself a great bike that you never have to worry about.

Secondly, while it may be helpful post workout, I doubt it shares the same benefits for a mid-workout beverage.
Thirdly, the reason it is said to be helpful, is because it helps you consume water "slightly" more efficiently. And if I recall correctly, he didn't have any water, only a gatorade.
But thanks for the enlightening article talking about a study that seems to be brought up every time anyone says something negative about alcohol, no as a non drinker I've never heard about it before...
