California Bike Ride

May 7-10, 2010

Hazon works to create a healthier and more sustainable Jewish community and a healthier and more sustainable world for all.

The California Bike Ride is both a Jewish and an environmental event.

The Ride is a two-day Shabbat retreat at Westminister Woods followed by a two-day bike ride that brings amazing people together for a relaxing weekend and a fully supported bike ride. Riders raise funds for Hazon and Jewish environmental projects in the United States and Israel.

Ride Highlights:
  • Delicious Kosher Gourmet Vegetarian Food, including an authentic Indian feast
  • Inspiring Shabbat services including outdoor, musical Kabbalat Shabbat, Havdallah in a grove of Redwoods, Camp Tawonga Shabbat service
  • Hiking, Yoga, Qi Gong, Volleyball, an amazing play ground for kids
  • Three amazing bike routes on rarely traveled roads with stunning views
  • Fully supported Ride with mechanical support, snacks and rest stops
  • Cycle into San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge ending at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, where participants and friends will have free entrance.

Note: This is an inclusive celebration for all. Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, Rennewal, Un-Orthodox, Unaffiliated, Secular. Non-Jewish participants are welcome too!
