Bike advertising in the 80s... (Nishiki)
I was researching (googling 
) Nishiki bikes, because a. I never had one of them and b. I am looking at one tomorrow...
Google magic brought this picture:
thought I'd share. And I am glad that the catalog was folded where it was folded.

I remember someone posted some Schwinn advertisements showing they did a whole beefcake thing as well, but I recall it was a whole lot less disturbing.

That's a very late 80's, (looks like a 1989) Nishiki Altron. And the dude is Kenny Souza. He was some sort of big time Biathelete back in the day.

I am pretty sure he meant duathete... Biathlon is the X-county skiing and shooting thing (ignoring the inference... that was the 80s. Big hair rock was a big thing then)

Wow, the Nishiki ad makes me chuckle. Mudboy, that Clement ad, I recall, landed me in a torrid romance with a similar-looking lady the spring I turned 21. Vintage indeed!
