Tires on Downtube folders

It looks like the Big Apples won't fit on any of the bikes but was considering adding disc brakes on a 9FS (assuming they are releasing new models in the near future). Would removing the V-brakes free up space for a larger tire? Or am I stuck with the same specs in terms of tire size?

Why do you say the BAs won't fit on a Downtube? I have them on my NS with plenty of clearance = )

I have the 2.0s for both the front and back. I've heard good things about the 2.35s, but must admit, I don't know if these will fit on a Downtube.

From what I've read of user comments off the Schwalbe site, the 2.0's are actually closer to 1.8... while the 2.15 liteskins are closer to true size. How much clearance do you have on the 2.0s? Either way thanks for the info now can count on putting those badboys on whatever Downtube I end up with.

Ditto..had them (2.0's) on my Mini for years...with fenders. Recently considered 2.15's for my Dahon Mu Xl but rejected the idea as too risky w/fenders. Anybody braver than I put the 2.15's on a Mu w/fenders?
