introductions
New dude here.
Bikes: MTB: GT STS Thermoplastic Dual suspension bike
Road: Litespeed Tuscany
Cannondale R600 Aero
Age: 30
Other: Don't like riding with other people because it screws up my training regiment....it just turns into some male pissing contest of who's the baddest...bad for structured training.
I don't ride my bike because its fun. I ride so that I won't feel the need to destroy or beat down anyone that piss me off...one word: Catharsis. Fringe benefit: my family can stand being around me.

Well, welcome to bikeforums anyway! How do you like that Litespeed? I almost purchased one acoupleof years ago, drooled over for sometime before I convinced myself I had enough road bikes.

Bikes: 2018 Lynskey Helix Pro
eschelon: I ride alone most of the time cause there are no cyclists in my neighborhood.
I'd like to have a riding companion or two. I have to do group rides to find someone to ride with. And it seems there are different folks riding every time, so I never get to know anyone very well.
Gus: You should have asked sooner. I bought a Litespeed Tuscany last April.
LOVE IT.

eschelon,
I like that word, catharsis. I ride the same way a lot too.
I find I ride alone a lot too. My cycling partner packed it in for the winter. I trust he'll be back out in the spring. We pretty much match eachother in ability. I don't have the attention span to stick to a training schedule. Neither does he.
The only other people I ride along side from time to time are cycling advocate types who tend to ride at a pretty casual pace but at least they generally stick to the road. They make up for the casual pace in organizing and engineering ability.
