New here and new to road biking
Hello all,
I recently got the road bike bug and will be purchasing my first bike soon. I plan on just riding for fun, some charity rides and maybe a race or two down the road.
Right now I am looking at getting the Motobecane Vent Noir from BD. I know with BD its either a love or hate kind of thing. I figure $699 for a final price and getting a carbon fiber fork, 105/Tiagra components, decent wheels and Ritchey (bar, stem and seat post) I cant go wrong.
Like I said its my first bike so if down the road I want to upgrade it wont be a big deal. I would like to hear some of your thoughts though.
I have already purchased some shimano shoes for the clipless pedals, a nice helmet and a sigma wireless comp. Question on the sigma, it says wireless but all the sensors on the package seem to be wired. What is the deal with that? Here is the specific one I am referring to (Sigma BC 1606L DTS W/Cadence Wireless Computer).
Thanks everyone.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Enjoy the bike. I'm guessing you got the gloss black.
Regarding the Sigma. I think the cadence part is wired (but not sure). Speed is wireless.
