Greetings from So Cal!
Hey all
I'm from the lovely San Diego country area. I registered for these forums because quite frankly, I am overweight, probably obese even (5'8" 225 lbs) and simply going to the gym just doesn't do it for me (lack of good-looking ladies at my local gym I guess). I used to bike when I had not hit double-digits in age, and now want to restart. Living in an area like San Diego, exercising should be an outdoor activity and not indoors at gyms on the exercise machines. I joined these forums specifically because when I went shopping for bikes, I realized that I had no clue on what specifications I should look out for. Too many details that made my head spin! (What's difference between 29" wheels, 26" wheels, 19" wheels? Difference in frame material?) So after I'm done with this simple intro, I'm going to find the area in the forums where I can ask questions on the technical aspects on bikes and which one may be a good fit for me.
Thanks for hearing me out!
