geared chainline

ok, I'm comming from a fixed/SS background and I'm converting a cross bike for touring. I need to change out the double for a triple. Do I need to worry about the chainline or do I just slap on 118mm BB (reccomended to go with the crank) and be done with it?

You match the crank to the BB. Depending on the crank, you may have little or no choice.Recommended BB spindle gives correct chainline.
