I dont understand a few things... no one whats the derailleur doing there .if its is a single speed, no brakes either.... cause is that all controllcanbles would be stretched when one bends the frame...

what prevents a thief from unbending it from the post m stretching it and ride away ? If you need a lock this whole design would be stupid...

I want to see a 250 lbs man ride down a curb with it ....

there are totally different stress points on the downtube and the top tube ......

but a good exercise in reinventing the wheel category ....

Why just the frame? Couldn't the same technology be applied to the seat post, handlebar post, handlebar, wheels?

That's 'nicked', Bob, as we say over here. 'Knicks' is something different altogether. No capitals, of course, unless it's at the start of a sentence.

Common on singlespeeds, yes. Not a good idea on fixed wheels though.

yeah you can see hes got a single speed kit on a freehub. as the spacers show on the hub.
think he should at least fit a front brake. that shouldnt be affected too much by the folding frame.
maybes get a coaster rear wheel too.

problem is with almost all those neat new inventions that the folks obviously have no prior bike experience, which usually shows the use of obsolete components or frames or such .... They almost all the time get the idea transformed into something steel, but than run into problems with gears, brakes, rims cranks or such ....

as i said a good try but I styill dont get it ... one still needs to get a lock to secure the bend up bike to the pole ? Or what ?

I think it's one of those Art/Design skule engineering ideas. The Brits will just laugh at a bendy bike, but it might sell in Asia for the novelty value. But we folder tifosi just take the things inside with us where possible, so I imagine most of us will not be impressed.

That segmented tube he's constructed needs to be keyed in some way to keep the tubes from twisting, the cable tension won't be enough to prevent it. IMHO more of a noodle-y bike than a bendy.
