Anytime I pop a wheel off and on again, I always give it a spin and squeeze the brake lever. You know instantly if you didn't adjust the brake's quick release. It an old habit from working in a bike shop pre "lawyer tab" days. It's a good way to make sure the wheel is centered properly.
