Objectification
I swear, the nerve of some women. Blatantly checked out on the Sunday morning ride around Walton Lake. Thank God for lycra, sleeveless jerseys and cool scars. Chicks dig scars.

I have it on (good???) authority from another sub-forum, that Iphone is coming out with an app. that you can take a picture of your harassers and report them, or in your case most likely email the pictures to all your friends for bragging rights... Whatever you do though, please don't post this story in P&R

There's no accounting for taste. By the looks of your avatar, I'd say you're kind of a dog.

I seem to get a lot of young women making generally inarticulate whoops, yells and "Oh baby" type sounds as they pass me. Could be because they really dig old, fat sweaty guys.
Or maybe not.

I guess I didn't make clear these young women are in cars.
I don't take kindly to being passed by either sex. When it happens it's generally a young man.
However a few weeks ago I'm riding around the big military airfield here. I come around a turn and up ahead maybe 500m is a lone rider. This is my last lap but I can't help myself and start to attempt the catch. At first I'm thinking that I'm going do this pretty quick (and am feeling disappointed as I love a rabbit with good legs) but with about 300m between us I notice the gap is stable. Then, horror of horrors, it start to increase. I am now giving it all. The lead continues to increase. We are now in the last straight before the turn off the post or, to the left, back around for another lap.
The rider turns right and maybe a minute later I follow for the exit. As I approach the stoplight at the intersection I see the other rider waiting at the light. As I get the stop and start to un-clip the light changes and I see the rider is a young lady looking just as fresh and rested as if she just got on her bike. We roll through the intersection saying polite hellos and she sets up for a left where I go straight ahead.
Humble, that's me.

C'mon, Terrierman, this is 50+. We've been around for awhile and we know all the tricks. Tell me that you didn't take off your socks, ball them up and stuff them into your shorts.

Last week on the ride with the bigwigs from the library:
Assistant Director, indicating my DiNotte taillight snuggled up under the saddle: "Why do you run a blinky during the day?"
Me: "It draws attention to my firm and shapely glutes."

I ride in Keen Commuters, thus no socks. Think potato. And yes, I know the potato goes in front.
