No problem, just add on a pair of those thin chromed stem shifters you used to see on old Schwinns and your thighs and face will be safe from ever hitting that pointy looking stem!

Compared to a Steel classic Cinelli stem that stem is streamlined.
Remember all the cool stuff that would never get made today:

both burn machines waiting to strike.
And the best, the Mattel X-15 Varoom Cycle rear wheel steering recumbent trike, just too cool until the terminal speed wobble set in downhill. Just to keep it in topic.

It seems like there was another one at one of the NAHBSs to which there was actually a keg of beer attached. ... though I don't think the shifters also dispensed the beer.

I've seen pictures of Xtracycles carrying beer kegs...You could set one up with four mini-kegs and taps on top and take it to bike races! You'd make a killing selling refreshments.
