Has anyone ordered a Salsa frame?

I am trying to get an estimate on a shipping quote but Salsa is taking a while to get back to me on info, was wondering if anyone has ordered a Salsa frameset (I am after the Fargo) and how heavy / what the dimensions were for the box. I have a feeling the box is heavier and larger then your average frame box.

Thanks for any help!

You MIGHT get a ballpark estimate by finding a Salsa frame at Cambria Bikes. They've got me drooling over the El KaBoing.

Oh, nice, the shipping price is better but too bad they use UPS (they charge big brokerage fees). I was looking to get it forwarded from a package receiver (I am in Canada) because the price Speedgoat quoted me was way high.

If anyone has a salsa box and can measure the weight for me I'd appreciate it

i got a different Salsa frame two years ago via mail. I was initially surprised that the unbuilt frame was 1) very light; and 2) much smaller than i had imagined. later, of course, i realize the frame is but a small part of the bicycle's weight (so not surprising how little it weighs), and the appearance of the frame as "small" quickly changed once it was built up---now it looks like a normal bike. In short, i doubt the shipping is much of an issue weight-wise. To get a sense of dimension, go look at your bike, and imagine it without the wheels or anything else, and no fork (the fork is detached and usually in bubblewrap near the downtube... small, huh.

PS: the fargo frame won't be heavier or larger than a standard bike in your size frame. the extra-slopped top tube makes it somewhat more compact. it'll come wrapped in lots of bubble wrap---not heavy.
