Track frame set for $90.00? Or should I save up more for a scrambler V2?

Track frame set for $90.00? Or should I save up more for a scrambler V2?

Is this a deal for a broke college student? Or should I not bother with Hi-Ten?
I'm still deciding on a track frame or a old school roadie to make fixed. Any thoughts? I'm guessing I can get a decent used road frame set for around $90.00 here in Portland.
Let me know what ya think! I need an upgrade... Steel is real.... but is cheap Hi-ten real also. How much do you think this frame set weighs?

Don't bother.

You should get this unbrand Pake instead, only $99 plus $28 shipping if you're in the States.
It only comes in 51, 57 and 59 though, still very very good deal.

They probably won't, I think they are just cleaning out what they have left in stock...I'm not sure if they will have more.

I think your conversion looks fine, looks like a fun beater but you could use some foot retention.

Did you seriously just suggest that to a poor commuting college student?

Thanks guys! I'm going with the Pake frame for $100.00. The weeks of Ramen noodles and 3 buck chuck will be well worth it!
As for "Alloy or Carbon" Both waaayy to stiff for me as I commute ~10 miles a day. The steel Pake sounds like a good choice!
