Non-Screw Rafter Bike Hangers?
I currently use screw hooks to stow my bikes in my garage. As I add/switch bikes, my rafters are getting a bit hole-ridden. Are there any bike hangers that simply slip over the rafters rather than requiring holes be drilled into them? I searched Google and Amazon but didn't see anything. Or it seems like it'd be fairly easy to jury-rig something from hardware store parts, but I haven't looked into that yet.

Googling for "rafter storage hook" comes up with this from Ace Hardware as the first hit:

I would just go to homedepot or lowes and buy some 3/8 rebar and foam pipe insulation and make my own. The 3/8 rebar cuts and bends very easly so you can make a hook on each end, one for the rafter and one for the bike. The insulation is to protect the bike frame, doing it this way you can make them any length you want/need

What about those hooks that go over a door to hang clothes? Add a caribeaner and you have a movable hanger. Of course it might scratch your wheels a little but I think have seen foam-padded beaners somewhere.
