angeles forest hundred?
I was at the lbs in pomona and overheard the owner and another guy talking about the angeles forest hundred. when i asked about it they both went quiet and said it was a tough multisurface ride/race. something about a 20 dollar entry... but they weren't sure permits could be attained. anyone heard anything about this? supposed to be in march? Evidently round 17k in climbing. Hope to see pics I can't do that in a week.

More than likely won't be held if AC is still closed at the bottom. One never knows though.

Maybe they were talking about Tour of Two Forests but that is 13k of climbing and also not 20.00

I wonder if it's that ride that I think goes up AC down 39 over East Fork to GMR and GRR on up to the lifts at Baldy then off road to the top. That would just about cover 17,000. Obie talked about it this year sometime. It's an unofficial race I think. Maybe by the OC Wheelmen?

That was one epic day on the bike. Never felt so good to finish a ride before. What was strange (and surprising) was how stable I felt descending on those roads. Not sure I've experienced anything like that before, or since. Sometimes you find that groove in the wierdest places...
