Need bike advice.

This will be my first serious mountain bike, so far only owned $300 mtb from Target and whatnot. I work with a guy selling his Iron Horse MK III Expert and he would be willing to sell it for $900

Here or the other specs:

Rock Shox Pike 454 front fork
Specialized Roval traverse Wheelset
Maxxis Cross Mark Tubless tires
SRAM drivetrain
Brand new cables and housing
Brand new FSA Comet Crank
Hayes Stroker trail Discs
Thomson seat post

The bike looks like a steal for the price but I just want to ask the experts here what they think.

Thanks

Decent componetry but a 2006 model I would think more in the lines of $700 (maybe a tad less) if it is in great condition. Just my 2 cents.

What did they change on the 2007+ models to make them better?

^^ Oh, that's easy - - they made them with components they didn't pay their suppliers for. Free is always good, right?
