Did Lemond ever use Shimano? help me win $100.00

Ok, i have a bet with by friend for one hundred bucks. i think its an easy win for me!! he says Greg Lemond did race professionally with dura ace for several years. I say-no way-never used it. He only used French and Italian components. Anyway, i hope you will prove me right. I would hate to lose the money and admit i was wrong.

Thumb levers right? Makes perfect sense.

Didn't you wager something before and come here for confirmation? I know we feed bad habits here, but gambling?

Lemond's Bikes

Seems from this post he used bloody everything he could get his hands on:
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...eg-Lemond-rode
1981-1982 - Gitane Campagnolo
1983 - Gitane - Modolo - Stronglight - Simplex
1984 - Gitane Campagnolo
1985 - Hinault branded frames with Campagnolo (Lemond was probably on a Della Santa - the Hinault frames were supposedly built by Lejeune or Cyfac)
1986 - Look branded steel frames (probably similar arrangement to 1985), early versions of TVT, Campagnolo components.
1987 - Look TVT with Shimano Dura Ace
1988 - Concorde with Campagnolo (again, possibly a Della Santa - there is some word that Ciocc/Conti built the Concorde frames and that they were painted in Belgium)
1989 - Bottechia steel frames and TVT frames. rode for Coors light in the US and may have been on Clark Kent frames or Della Santas again)
1990 - Bilato built steel frames IIRC, Lemond branded, Ti something or other at some stage, TVT.
1991 - Bilato built steel, Ti, Carbosports
after that, I can't remember

I acquired this book recently...

I paged through it briefly and found this.. which isn't much, but does mention that he used it. Look under 1987

I'll split the winning with your friend

A local (Monterey Bay area) woman owns it. I posted pics of it in another thread when it was on display at the 2009 Butterfly Crit in Pacific Grove, which Lemond won in 1978, having lapped the entire field (my 3rd grade son is writing a book report on Lemond ).

Campy FD, RD, brakes/levers, Sugino Super Mighty crankset (additional pics):

While I won't doubt it was his bike, as it has been repainted, and modified, who knows what the spec was when Greg was racing it.
