Crash Test Dummy
Hey, if anyone needs to know the effectiveness of any cycling safety gear, just send it my way. The way things are going, it will just be a matter of days until I've tested it for you.
I crashed Sunday, for the third time in the 6 months I've had my road bike, by overlapping the guy I was riding with. He slowed, and I thought he would speed back up, not realizing we were about to make a turn. So I didn't agressively slow, and well... ouch. Fortunately I didn't take him down with me, and the xrays didn't show anything broken. Just bruises and rash.
Crash Test Dummy - emphasis on Dummy.
Bike is back from the shop (minor stuff), so I'll be riding again tomorrow.

Sorry to read of your crash, and glad that they're not more serious.
If these are the types of crashes you're experiencing, I think you need to try the Vulcan mind meld with your riding partners.

This is the only incident I've had involving another cyclist, but then I've only been group riding a couple or three months, so give me a little time and I'm sure I can take down the whole group. The other two were me not making a downhill corner (when tired, like this one) and a front blowout on a turn.

I think ypu need more practice- Get an MTB and you will soon find out how to fall-----Correction- you don't need practice at falling with your record

Over about 39 years of serious cycling, I would say I have averaged about two crashes per year. So you're probably right on schedule. Some years you crash more, some less. Usually the crashes are on ice in the winter, or on wooden bridge decks in the rain. If you race, this will increase the average!
