How many miles do you ride
Interested in how many miles the over fifty rider puts in each week.
Since late March when I decided to train for the MS150, this 53 YO has averaged about 90 miles a week: One long ride 50-70 miles on the weekend and one short ride during the week.

I have over 4,000 miles (6,500 km) for the year so far. Weekly mileage varies a lot, and since all of this medical stuff about my heart, my mileage is totally awry.

Just over 3000 km each of the last 2 years (3000 km sounds better than 1900 miles). I don't do much of it during winter and I did about 500 of those miles during two week Europe tours, so I can't just divide by 52.

6700 miles, live is Sacramento Ca. and ride all winter. Some think my life is a little unbalanced, but I ride with a club, ride to the rides and most everywhere else by bike.

My riding time is inconsistent. During the summer, when it's not raining and I can be done by 5 a couple of days a week, then about 110 miles average per week. I'm tried of getting wet. I've ridden in rain more this year than all of the past 7 years combined. I've gotten so I can tell pretty accurately when I've got about a half hour before it rains. But sometimes I'm so far away from anywhere that I've just have to finish in the darn wet stuff, but I'm now trying to avoid rain altogether, so some weeks I just don't ride very much.

Last year I rode just under 4000 miles. So far this year I've only ridden ~3000 miles. Since I became employed again in late August my mileage has been cut back because my daily commute is only 8.4 miles one way. I rarely see any "older" bike commuters.

I try to get out every day and do at least 10 miles and usually 15 and sometimes 20. Yesterday I did 17 miles and 15 today. I felt like riding more today but my right knee started "clicking" so I laid-off and went to a Polish deli. Had cabbage rolls, boiled spuds and sauerkraut.

I ride over 3,000 miles annually. This year, so far, 3,400 miles. I'm diabetic, so the cycling helps a ton. It keeps my weight down along with my blood sugar. For all my "Sugar Free" friends, the bike is a blessing.
