Ohio Newbie

Hi All,
I am a complete newbie to cycling. Granted I did have bikes as a kid but that was 40 years and 200 pounds ago!
I just bought a Diamondback Edgewood LX and have been cycling 3-4 miles a day for the last week. I looked at the Trek 7.2 and my thought process was if I really love this sport and wear out the DB I'll splurge and get the Trek! So far I love the DB. It is getting cooler here in SW Ohio but I got the bug bad! (or good!)
I am looking forward to getting all the answers to all my newbie questions.
I am riding to loose weight and tone my legs and core and get in shape. I have lost about 50 lbs over the last 16 weeks prior to getting the bike. I am really loving the rides!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Welcome to addiction.

Best of success with your weight loss program! Sounds like you're off to a good start.
