GT Stomper 24 - Decent bike for a 9 year old?
Performance Bike had a crazy sale on the remaining 2010 GT Stomper 24" mountain bikes for black Friday. $219 - 20% coupon = $175
I know GT is not the same company it was back in the 90's as it's is owned by Pacific Cycles now, but it looks like it has comparable components to most other 24" mountain bikes in the $250-$300 range. Plus with the lifetime support of Performance Bike mechanics, it seem like a good deal for not much more than what you can get at x-mart stores. Makes it hard to justify spending $400 on the next level bike like Specialized Hotrock, Scott Scale, or Felt F24.
Opinions are appeciated.
