Specialized Frame Swap Question.
I currently have a 2010 Hardrock Sport Disc and I've been looking at a few nicer Specialized frames on Ebay and Craigslist (Epic, Stumpjumper, etc). If I was to upgrade my frame, would all of my components from my Hardrock fit on a nicer Specialized frame? (bottom bracket, crank set, etc)

Still kicking.
Might. BTW, just upgrade the parts on the hardrock.

BTW, your frame isn't the limiting factor so I wouldn't worry about upgrading it.

Sorry about that...I do have a Hardrock. I am slowing upgrading my components as well. I just put an air shock on the front and I'm about to get a set of Race Lite wheels. For Christmas i'll get a pair of SPDs and after that I'll upgrade the RD, FD, Crankset and bars. I was just wondering if along the way, I run across a killer deal on a frame, would my components fit the frame? Mainly I'm wondering about the bottom Braket and crank set, everything else should be a simple swap??
But I think you guys are right, I think I might need to focus in on the component upgrades and then look at a nicer frame later.

Might be worth your time to keep riding the Hardrock &, when you find a good deal on a frame, just build it from the ground up with used/discount high end parts. That's what I'm doing, though my current complete bike isn't nearly as nice as yours so it's added motivation to finish the build sooner than later. Wheelworld.com is where I got my frame from & it looks like they sill have some good deals on my frame as well as some others. If those are still too expensive, just keep an eye out on craigslist & ebay.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the fact that you'd be going from a hardtail to FS. In that regard, I'd also say go for it. You can always just use your current components on the new frame until they brake &/or just start to bother you for whatever reason, & then upgrade to something better. I would have done that with my current bike but it just doesn't have any components worth putting on the new frame.
