Home made bike frame.
One of my old mountain biking buddies just got his home made 29er frame back from the powder coaters. It's a lugless brazed steel frame. His dad told me he also has a tube set for constructing a road bike. Ain't 'dat neat!
I have a feeling this is going to cost the grouch some serious money before it's over. Building my own frame has long been a dream of mine. The biggest thing holding me back is I'm not sure what I want.

I think the hardest part would be getting things perfectly aligned before taking the torch to it. That and getting the angles exact.

Frame building is something I'd like to try at some point as well.

The jig is the key. But with braising a lugless joint will give a certain amount of leeway on the fit of the tubes.
But having made "Kart" frames many years ago- it takes years of tweaking to get things right--Unless you "Borrow" someone elses design.

Mitering the tubes has got to be tricky too.
As for the design, there's a free online version of BikeCAD you can use. Has none of the bells and whistles the paid versions have, but it beats a blank.
