Brompton rear brake cable routing: Please check yours and answer below
is the cable on the Brompton you had a chance to inspect going through the designated area of the frame attached to the rear triangle or just next to it?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The square hole is for a pulley block that routes the shift cable on Bromptons with internally-geared hubs. Looks like you have a two-speed, and do not have this pulley block.
The brake cable does not pass through this hole.
