Tony C

I have joined Bike Forums having just been given a 1960s Dawes Double Blue, my favourite bike when I was at school in that period.

Some one in Bike Forums has one of these bikes but I was unable to see the photos as I was not a member at the time. I would like to hear from people who had done such work and knew where to go to get original parts when required; also which firms do first rate repairs and maintenance of old bikes. I was advised, however, that a repaint job would reduce rather than raise the value of this bike.

I can send pictures of the bike but the software on my old camera is not recognised by Windows 7! I will sort this problem later.

I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in these old bikes.
