anyone gotten dizzy changing a bike tube?
i was just pulling out a michelin tube and inflating it and started to pass out.
i'm wondering if there's something on the tube or if something is wrong with me.
felt like i did a whipit...i have a regular manual pump.

What do you mean by "regular manual pump?" Is it a floor pump, a frame pump, or a mini pump? I know I've become very very tired pumping up a tube with a mini pump, ergo, I don't use them any more. While infinitely better than the alternative of carrying nothing, they are just too inefficient to rely on, especially for high-mileage riders. Floor pumps are generally very easy to use but are bulky, and frame pumps are generally a good trade-off between efficiency and portability.

You should use the pump to inflate the tube - if you blow up a tube by mouth, you might feel dizzy after a while

basically what i'm asking is is there anything on the rubber that would cause dizziness...and that i'm not getting dizzy from air cartridges.
wasn't really exerting any force...just started passing out.
think it's something wrong with me so i'm calling doctor.

This is what popped to mind for me, too. Exerting yourself while you're bent over could cause a head rush. Do you know what your blood pressure is? I get head rushes when my blood pressure is low.

Yup, I go blind for a few seconds often. It happens sometimes when I go up stairs fast, which is always. I always take steps two at a time when going up.

A whipit is breathing nitrox oxide to get high. Nitrox oxide is the propellant in whipped cream cans, or it comes in co2 cylinders used in those home whipped cream dispensers/makers. Have you ever had nitrox at the dentist? You get light headed!

I believe *whipit* is slang for nitrous oxide (aka "laughing gas") containers. The small N2O containers are made for use at restaurants as whipping cream aerosol refills (thus, etymology of term, "whip").
They're sold as inhalants at head-shops for kids to get high. I assume the OP has experience with these.

A latex allergy would not cause a loss of blood to the brain. Just skin reactions at the points of contact much like poison ivy. Going faint like that would be either a low blood pressure head rush as mentioned (I used to have borderline low BP and got them quite often) or a new developing condition. You're wise to have made an appointment for a checkup.

This is worse when dehydrated. So my guess is that you were on a ride, you didn't drink enough, you got a flat, sat down to work on it, jumped up to pump, and got light headed.
