Today's Ride on GMR & Snowy GRR

Ended up being a beautiful day for a ride in the mountains.

GMR was looking rather nice with all the striking clouds:

GRR, however, was closed. Not that that has stopped me in the past.

My always-stop, favorite vantage point:

Getting closer to the snow level:

About 3800 feet and the first snow is encountered:

Might as well keep on going..

Beautiful:

I finally gave up here:

Looking back at my fresh tracks:

And descending back down:

The bike ended up getting slightly coated with snow:

Good times.

The ridge really is amazing. GMR+GRR to the village is an incredible ride (and even more incredible if you throw in the climb to the ski lifts). That and 39 are probably my two favorite climbs in the area.

I think your signature quote applies nicely here and I am in agreement.

And yeah, the descent was slightly slow.

No way I'd go up there with that on the road, but I'm glad somebody is brave enough to go up and take great pics. Fantastic stuff.
